Bryan Myka is a pseudonym that I use for my art. writing, etc.

I wanted a unique name for producing art, etc... I learned that Bryan is a more rebellious spelling of Brian and that Mika has historically been interchangeable with Michael.

I'm into mycology, mushrooms, and Myka is not common, as far as I can tell. So that's the story. ~ Bryan Myka

I was trapped in a depressed spiral of alcoholism from a young age. By the time I turned 21, I was turning 21 in Cook County Jail. It took several more years to stop drinking.

I feel like I had to catch up on all the emotional growth I should of had from 13-26, so the mental health journey has been longer than I would of hoped.

After getting Covid at age 33, I ended up in total psychosis, started suffering previously undiagnosed Ptsd attacks, and was hospitalized repeatedly.

Art, reading, and writing have helped me so much. I feel like I've been given a 3rd chance at life. Thanks for checking me out.
